Constanza Bizraelli (CAO) is an Amsterdam-based Peruvian electronic music composer and producer, new media artist and theorist. CAO’s latest EP ‘Flesh Luminescence’ was conceived during a transitional period in which the artist was based between London, Lima and Amsterdam. Dynamics of migration and the metamorphoses it entails are expressed in a shamanic futuristic journey through post-industrial soundscapes (neo-nature), where harsh sounds, neo-tropical apocalyptic scenarios and Peruvian folklore vivify connections between the ever-morphing inhabitant and its environment.
Bizraelli directs and edits the academic open access journal “Cyclops”, a publication dedicated to contemporary and experimental theory. Her work has been shown in many festivals and exhibitions across Europe, North & South America such as Sonar Reykjavik (Iceland), Rewire Festival (NL), FIBER Festival (NL), Berghain (DE), Tate Modern (UK), Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (US), Mutek Montreal (CA), Museum of contemporary Art of Montreal (CA), Martin Groupius-Bau Museum (DE), Fonoteca Nacional de Ciudad de México (MEX), Grey Area Festival (US), Dekmantel Festival (NL) and Folkestone Fringe (UK).
During FIBER 2021, she will perform one of her neo-natural livesets.
